This movie blew me away! Absolute awesome. As LeeElla and I watched it, there were numerous outbursts of “No freaking way!”

Throughout the viewing, I knew the presence of God was ready for a response and sure enough we ended up laying hands on our sons, praying, prophesying and anointing with oil. We spent time discussing scripture with them individually, addressing matters of their struggling souls and loving on them in the Holy Ghost.

That ministry all started when one of my sons simply said, “I’ve been wanting to ask for prayer because God has seemed distant to me.” That unprovoked request was a beautiful sign and fruit of the work of the Spirit that God was doing in our own home and invited us to join Him in ministering life, call and anointing in our sons lives.

I praise God for answers to prayer, unfolding displays of His saving and welcoming Presence and for the promised harvest being gathered. I am witnessing the tremors of a fresh outpouring of the Father’s Spirit all around us and a restoration of all that we have lost and all that the enemy has stolen in these last few years.

This Sunday I continue teaching on the Holy Spirit. I will focus on the question: “What does it mean to ‘receive the Holy Spirit’?”

1 Cor 12:13 “For by one Spirit we were all baptized into one body, whether Jews or Greeks, whether slaves or free, and we were all made to drink of one Spirit.”

We will also do a little historical tour of the “Charismatic Skeletons in the Conservative Evangelical Closet”.

If we emphasize the Word without the Spirit…we dry up.

If we emphasize the Spirit without the Word…we blow up.

If we hold the Word & the Spirit together…we grow up!

98 year old dobri dobrev, a man who lost his hearing in the second world war, walks 10 kilometers from his village in his homemade clothes and leather shoes to the city of sofia, where he spends the day begging for money.

though a well recognized fixture around several of the city’s chruches, known for his prostrations of thanks to all donors, it was only recently discovered that he has donated every penny he has collected — over 40,000 euros — towards the restoration of decaying bulgarian monasteries and churches and the utility bills of orphanages, living entirely off his monthly state pension of 80 euros and the kindness of others.

I would love to meet him one day <3 A true example of the genuine Orthodox Christian life!

I met Dobri briefly when I was in Sofia in 2004.
I had the honor of giving him some money outside of Alexander Nevski’s Orthodox Church there, not knowing then who he was and what he did with the money.
I look forward to meeting him again in the Kingdom.
