You can put a sniper round through a man’s head, obliterate a village with smart bombs or bayonet someone’s intestines out and that’s ‘morally justified’…but peeing on your enemy is a moral outrage?
I’m confused by this morality.
I’m also interested in understanding how soldiers are expected to discern right and wrong with this type of morality?
Training people to kill and expecting them to do it morally without revenge, anger or a sense of retribution, seems to be a psychological posture that most humans would find deeply difficult to separate.
I know most soldiers don’t act in this manner…but part of me wonders how they don’t.
